Alana Davis

Advanced Aesthetician & Master PMU Artist – Founder of Aesthetically Speaking

Alana is the founder and lead master artist of Aesthetically Speaking and a highly respected Reno esthetician and PMU expert with over 25 years of industry experience.

Practicing since 2000, Alana has worked alongside medical dermatology practices, plastic surgeons, luxury spas, and top salons, building a reputation for exceptional results and uncompromising standards. She founded Aesthetically Speaking in 2014 in Reno’s Midtown District, growing the business from a boutique salon into one of Reno’s most trusted destinations for permanent makeup, microblading, powder brows, nano brows, and advanced lash services.

Alana personally trains and mentors every artist on her team, ensuring consistent, high-level results across all services. Alana is a 5x Certified Microblading, Powder Brow, Nano Brow Artist, with over a decade of hands-on experience in permanent makeup specializing in brows. Known for her refined technique and artistic precision, she specializes in custom brow design, natural looking PMU results and mature skin PMU as well as color correction.

In continued growth of her brand, Alana recently purchased the Aesthetically Speaking location on Mill Street, expanding the studio into six private treatment rooms, a dedicated microblading suite with dual workstations. This expanded space will allow Alana and her team to offer advanced lash and microblading education, supporting the next generation of artists while maintaining the highest standard of luxury client care. Committed to education and innovation, Alana continuously pursues advanced training and launched her own professional lash line Alana DaviS Artistry.

She remains actively involved in the studio, working closely with both clients and artists while shaping the future of luxury PMU and luxury lashes in Reno, Nevada.

Ashley Miknus

Lead PMU, Lead Advanced Aesthetician, Master Lash & Aesthetics Artist

Ashley is the lead aesthetician and PMU artist at Aesthetically Speaking and the first artist to join the studio – now with 12 years of experience delivering elevated results across permanent makeup, lashes, and advanced esthetics.

Her refined technique and mastery of detail have made her one of the most trusted artists in Reno Permanent makeup. She is a 4x Certified Master Lash Artist with over 10 years of lash experience and a 3x Certified Microblading Artist, specializing in microblading, powder brows, and custom PMU brow services.

Ashley is known for creating balanced, natural looking brows and beautifully polished lash sets tailored to each clients features. Ashley is also HydraFacial certified and highly skilled in advanced skincare, facials, and waxing, offering a comprehensive, results-driven approach to beauty. Her artistry, consistency, and leadership set the standard for luxury PMU and esthetic services in the area.

Sara Balderrama

Sara is a lead esthetician and one of the original artists at Aesthetically Speaking. With over 10 years as a licensed esthetician and a strong background in precision artistry, Sara has quickly become a highly sought-after PMU artist specializing in powder brows, nano-brows, microblading, and advanced brow artistry.

Cathy is an experienced Reno Aesthetician with over 7 years of professional experience specializing in Brazillian waxing, full-body waxing, custom lash extensions, lash lifts, and advanced facial services.

Having worked with leading beauty franchises in Reno, she brings precision, confidence, and consistency to each and every service. As a valued aesthetician of Aesthetically Speaking for over three years, Cathy has become a client favorite for Brazillian waxing and waxing services, known for her gentle technique, attention to detail, and ability to create a comfortable, personalized experience.
